Iris - Botanical Garden

Overview

The Seed Management module is an integrated part of Iris - Botanical Garden and consists of three parts:

• Seed store
• Seed catalogues
• Seed orders

Features

Seed store

• Manages the seed collections.
• Keeps track of the stock status.
• Collection information includes taxon, collection origin, collector, IPEN-number, material type, etc.

Seed catalogues

• Prepares yearly seed catalogues based on the available seeds in the seed store.
• The catalogues can be divided into an unlimited number of parts.
• The content is ordered according to catalogue part, systematic group, family and taxon.
• The catalogues can be printed or published in the Index Seminum internet order system.

Seed orders

• Handles orders of seeds from the seed catalogue.
• Integrated with the Index Seminum internet order system for automated order entry.
• The use of alternative catalogue items for out of stock seeds is handled automatically.
• Shipment labels and seed labels for orders can be printed individually or in bulk.
• Order history is maintained and statistics can be viewed or printed.
