Searh capabilities in Iris has been a major issue for our users. The current incarnation of Iris provide only limited search capabilities in the Accessions and Taxa forms.

However the "Reports" function is quite good, and lacks only a few important fields, such as "Project".

Would it be possible to include two buttons in the Reports form, namely "Open the results in Aceession form" and "Open the results in Taxa form"? These buttons could be placed below the "Export" button.

This would be a very valuable tool in finding Accessions and Taxa.

Regards

;)Frode

Have you tried "Advanced search" in the Accessions and Taxa forms?

Advanced search in the Accessions view does not permit to search for the field

Accession => Details => Project

Thus it is very hard to retrieve all the accessions belonging to a specific project.

Moreover, how is it possible to exit from the Advanced search view without actually performing a search?

The field Project will be added to both Advanced search and Reports in the next version of Iris.

To exit from Advanced search, press the X-button or use the keys Alt+x.
