If I post a reply to a thread in a sub-forum, and then click on the "Forum" link in the top left corner of the view to get an overview of the forum agan, my post triggers a "new post" icon on the affected forum.
Now I know that I recently posted, so there is no added value for me in seing the "new post" icon. Rather it is time consuming to go back and check if there really are any _other_ new posts in that forum.
Is this configurable in any way?
