Currently the help system is always displayed on top of the Iris application window. This makes it very cumbersome to work with both windows open at the same time, especially since I use the windows maximized. When the help window is maximized there is no way of displaying the application window, short of closing or minimizing/restoring it. If I switch to the Iris application window from a different app, using ALT + TAB, the help window is maximized and displayed in stead.

Is there a way to work around this?

We are using the standard Microsoft help system.

Yes, but is it not more configurable in any way?

Surely other programs I use that user MS HTML Hlep does not exhibit this behaviour.

Hi Frode,

Sadly this is the unfortunate behaviour of the Windows HTML help system. and it is not a configurable option. As many others, we are puzzled why this is not the case.

The reason this is possible with other Microsoft products is that they are using their own proprietary HTML helps system which is not available part of the standard Windows System.

A lot other people and other systems has raised this concern and we are keeping an eye on this issue awaiting and update from Microsoft or a practical Workaround.

Thanks for your patience.

Havard
